Hobart’s cool inner-city space is throwing a special Mother’s Day event this year, offering a set menu featuring eight dishes from the In The Hanging Garden’s various kitchens. Your mum is bound to love all the delicious options including a fresh basil and ricotta calzone, pulled pork bao buns with Korean BBQ sauce and a dessert of whipped Nutella cannoli with local strawberries and pistachio dust. That’s all topped off with a glass of Jansz bubbles as well as heaters and rugs to be extra cosy.

Mother’s Day High Tea in 1830
High tea on Mother’s Day is hardly a groundbreaking idea, but when said high tea is held at the Port Arthur Historic Site with panoramic views of the convict-era buildings and stunning waters of Carnarvon Bay, it makes for a pretty unforgettable experience.
